An Old Friend Calls It Quits
Vlade Divac announced he was going to retire after 15 seasons. Divac said he was going to stay with the Los Angeles Lakers as an assistant coach. So let’s remember this former comrade and the 7 great seasons he gave to the Kings. Divac only played 15 games last season for the Lakers because of injuries, and these injuries eventually led to the decision of hanging it up. In his first season with the Kings in 1998, Divac helped the Kings get back to the playoffs, and ever since then the Kings have been a playoff contender year in, year out. Vlade deserves the thanks and respect of the Kings organization and its fans.
